Mad Hatter Girl Card - Santoro Gorjuss Stamps

This is my favorite of my Santoro Gorjuss Stamps, this one is called "The Hatter". I stamped her onto white cardstock, and colored her and the background in with Dick Blick Markers. The Dick Blick Markers are alcohol based, and some say as good as Copics, but at a much cheaper price. The only Copics I own are some skin color copics, so I couldn't really say if they are as good. I can say that I myself do like them very much, as does my pocket book. :-) I used decorative scissors to cut around the edge of the stamp and the yellow card stock behind it. I attached the stamp design to the yellow cardstock with double sided tape, then attached them to the beautiful scrapbooking paper (the green flowered background paper) It was in a set from Michaels. I love the bright colors, and thought it went well with how I colored my stamp. I'm one of those who does the stamps backwards. I've read that most people pick out the papers that they are going to use for their cards, then color their stamp according to the colors in their papers. I on the other hand color my stamp however I feel, then hope I can find some coordinating papers. LOL The butterfly stickers at the top are the only part of the card I'm not very fond of. I think it would have looked nicer with die cut butterflies, but at the time I didn't own a butterfly die set. I have sense corrected that. :-)

Sympathy cards

I  created these cards after I had received the very sad news that my best friends grandfather had passed away. (I really dislike that saying, I prefer "has gone to the other side". My BFF and her grandmother are heart broken right now, so any prayers you could send their way would be very much appreciated ❤️ Cards made with white cardstock that I used an embossing folder. Added two pieces of  translucent ribbon. Used my butterfly die with pink and white cardstock and the other card I used green and white cardstock. The embellishments are also white cardstock, cut with dies. The sympathy quote I did with my silhouette machine and pens, then cut it out with a die.💔 *Sorry about the typo errors that were in this. I originally typed it up on my phone, late at night.

Thinking of you card - Santoro Gorjuss Stamp Ladybird

Yay it's Thursday!!! For most it's just the day before Friday, but for me it IS my Friday!!! This has been a long work week, so I'm glad to see it come to an end. Okay now onto this Thinking of You card I created. I used my Santoro Gorjuss Stamp - Ladybird. I stamped her onto white cardstock and then colored her in with colored pencils. I also used a black gel pen for the dots on her dress and her shoes. After I completed her coloring I hand cut her out (razor blade). I also decided to cut out the outer layer of her dress and used a glitter yellow cardstock in its place. I secured it together with double sided tape. The background papers are both from a pad of scrapbook paper from Michaels. I've had it so long, and have used it so much, that I no longer have the cover, so I can't tell you which pad it came from. One I cut the full size of the card, and the second I just did a wide strip. I then added a medium width silk ribbon. It's been in a drawer for a...

Mad Hatter Spray Paint Art

This piece of art I created to enter into a contest. The contest rules was you had to create something using Oramask 813 Stencil Film purchased from    https://expressionsvinyl.com/ . I didn't win the contest :'-( but had fun making this piece anyway. What I used was a piece of semi smooth wood approximately 24"x18". I purchased the wood at Home Depot. The silhouette of the Mad Hatter (The Johnny Depp version) I found online. I transferred the silhouette into my Silhouette program, traced it in the program, and cut it with my Cameo. The Wording at the bottom is one of the scripts that came with my Silhouette program. I also cut it out with my Cameo. I then weeded the whole thing....it took a lot of time, but I think was worth it. I weeded it backwards, so there would be no film in the areas that I wanted the design to show. The only stencil I left was the stencil in the negative areas. Reason being this was to be applied to the wood and spray painted. First I add...
