Fathers Day Card with Etched Wood Design

This was the second card I made using my Silhouette Curio. This time instead of etching metal, I decided to try some wood. My husband was working in a carpentry shop at the time, so I thought he'd get a kick out of it. I purchased the round piece of wood from Amazon (Natural Unfinished  Plywood Circle, 4 Inch 1/8" thick.) The thickness is VERY important. If you are going to use your Curio to etch then it can't be too thick. This did work, it was messy, but it worked. After it was all etched out, it didn't really stand out, so I decided to use an alcohol based marker in a bronze color, to color it in. The design I found on a Google search. Behind it I once again used my Silhouette to cut a circle slightly bigger than the wooden circle, out of a metalized vinyl sheet in Gold Chrome, I purchased from - https://expressionsvinyl.com/ .
