Sympathy cards

I  created these cards after I had received the very sad news that my best friends grandfather had passed away. (I really dislike that saying, I prefer "has gone to the other side". My BFF and her grandmother are heart broken right now, so any prayers you could send their way would be very much appreciated ❤️ Cards made with white cardstock that I used an embossing folder. Added two pieces of  translucent ribbon. Used my butterfly die with pink and white cardstock and the other card I used green and white cardstock. The embellishments are also white cardstock, cut with dies. The sympathy quote I did with my silhouette machine and pens, then cut it out with a die.💔 *Sorry about the typo errors that were in this. I originally typed it up on my phone, late at night.

No Worries Card

So shark week is coming to an end. It is something that myself and husband watch every year, and thoroughly enjoy. I found the above image on Pinterest and decided it would make a GREAT card to celebrate the end of shark week. I colored her in with Copics, Blick Studio Markers, and Gel Pens. I cut her out with a die I purchased from Wish.com, the flower is also a die from Wish.com. The papers, and sentiment came from Coastal Premium Stack cardstock. This is a beautiful pad of cardstock that I highly recommend. I purchased it at Michaels.  Copics were used on skin- E000, E00, E93 Happy Crafting ~Chantel~

Enjoy Every Moment Card - Santoro Gorjuss Stamp Sweet Tea

This is one of the two cards I created last night. The image is Santoro Gorjuss Stamp Sweet Tea. This was the first time I had used this stamp. The set came with quite a lot of very nice stamps, I highly recommend it. I colored her skin and hair with Copic markers. The remainder of the image I colored with Dick Blick markers and Gel Pens. The image was stamped onto a thick white cardstock, and then cut out with a flower die I purchased off of Wish.com. The small flowers at the bottom were also cut with a flower die set off of Wish.com. The sentiment and background paper came from a paper pad from Michaels. Its the Craft Smith, Blush Glam pad. It is absolutely beautiful. The sentiment I attached using foam tape, the paper and image I used double sided tape. The flower I used Scotch Scrap bookers Glue. The rope embellishment at the top is from Recollections. I attached it with double sided tape. The center of the flower is from Bead Landing, Sticky Gems.  Copic Hair Colors...

Thinking of you card - Santoro Gorjuss Stamp Ladybird

Yay it's Thursday!!! For most it's just the day before Friday, but for me it IS my Friday!!! This has been a long work week, so I'm glad to see it come to an end. Okay now onto this Thinking of You card I created. I used my Santoro Gorjuss Stamp - Ladybird. I stamped her onto white cardstock and then colored her in with colored pencils. I also used a black gel pen for the dots on her dress and her shoes. After I completed her coloring I hand cut her out (razor blade). I also decided to cut out the outer layer of her dress and used a glitter yellow cardstock in its place. I secured it together with double sided tape. The background papers are both from a pad of scrapbook paper from Michaels. I've had it so long, and have used it so much, that I no longer have the cover, so I can't tell you which pad it came from. One I cut the full size of the card, and the second I just did a wide strip. I then added a medium width silk ribbon. It's been in a drawer for a...

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Card #2

This was another digital stamp find on Pinterest (that site is addicting...) I colored it in with gel pens, I used a metallic silver for the table and chairs. I cut it out by hand, and cut a piece of pink cardstock a little bit larger to act as a frame. The background paper and the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun saying were all part of the same cardstock book from Michaels. I secured everything together with double sided tape, and wrapped a thin piece of Satin Ribbon around it, tying it into a bow, and securing it with tape as well. I think hot glue would have worked better for this, but I hate using it, because I always end up with burnt fingers... :-/ ~Chantel

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Card

I found this digital stamp on Pinterest and thought it was adorable, and knew I just had to make a card with it, and here it is! :-) I colored in the design with gel pens. I cut it out with my Hunulu Rectangle Metal Cutting Dies. I then cut a piece of purple card stock with the same type of die, but one size bigger. The paper in the background came from one of the many cardstock books I have purchased from Michaels. I loved all the fun sayings. I then wrapped a piece of see through purple ribbon around it, and tied it into a bow. I secured everything together with double sided tape. Fun & Simple. :-) ~Chantel

Alice in Wonderland-Stencil Art

I created this piece to go along with the one I did of the Mad Hatter. It is also made out of a piece of semi smooth wood approximately 24"x18". I also purchased this piece of wood at the same time as the one for the Mad Hatter. It was one piece that I had them cut for me. I then took it home and spray painted the whole thing with two coats of black spray paint. This design was also found on the web. I put the design into my silhouette program, traced it and cut it out of Oramask 813 Stencil Film I purchased from https://expressionsvinyl.com/ . I then weeded it out, removing all the negative pieces. I added my transfer tape, and removed the backing. I then put the design onto the painted piece of wood and removed the transfer tape, leaving the stencil secured to the wood. This time I decided to paint the design with acrylic paints, GLITTER acrylic paints!!! <3 GLITTER!!!! You can't really tell from the photo, but in person it shines like a diamond. :-) I sponge ...

Mad Hatter Spray Paint Art

This piece of art I created to enter into a contest. The contest rules was you had to create something using Oramask 813 Stencil Film purchased from    https://expressionsvinyl.com/ . I didn't win the contest :'-( but had fun making this piece anyway. What I used was a piece of semi smooth wood approximately 24"x18". I purchased the wood at Home Depot. The silhouette of the Mad Hatter (The Johnny Depp version) I found online. I transferred the silhouette into my Silhouette program, traced it in the program, and cut it with my Cameo. The Wording at the bottom is one of the scripts that came with my Silhouette program. I also cut it out with my Cameo. I then weeded the whole thing....it took a lot of time, but I think was worth it. I weeded it backwards, so there would be no film in the areas that I wanted the design to show. The only stencil I left was the stencil in the negative areas. Reason being this was to be applied to the wood and spray painted. First I add...

Mad Hatter Girl Card - Santoro Gorjuss Stamps

This is my favorite of my Santoro Gorjuss Stamps, this one is called "The Hatter". I stamped her onto white cardstock, and colored her and the background in with Dick Blick Markers. The Dick Blick Markers are alcohol based, and some say as good as Copics, but at a much cheaper price. The only Copics I own are some skin color copics, so I couldn't really say if they are as good. I can say that I myself do like them very much, as does my pocket book. :-) I used decorative scissors to cut around the edge of the stamp and the yellow card stock behind it. I attached the stamp design to the yellow cardstock with double sided tape, then attached them to the beautiful scrapbooking paper (the green flowered background paper) It was in a set from Michaels. I love the bright colors, and thought it went well with how I colored my stamp. I'm one of those who does the stamps backwards. I've read that most people pick out the papers that they are going to use for their cards,...

Just For You Card - Santoro Gorjuss Stamps

This is another of my Santoro Gorjuss Stamps. I believe it is the Gave You My Heart, but I can't find the box it came in, so I'm not 100% sure, sorry. I just LOVE these Gorjuss stamps, they are adorable!!! I have tried many different ways of coloring them in, this one I used colored pencils. After I had her colored in, I cut her out by hand (razor blade). I attached her using foam tape, to give her more dimension.  I used scrap papers from my pile for the remainder of the card. For the sentiment I stamped it, then used gold embossing powder, and heat set it. I cut it out by hand as well (I didn't yet own a die cutter). I also used foam tape on the sentiment. The decorative papers I attached with double sided tape. I then finished it off with a thin piece of satin ribbon, and tied it in a bow. (Yea my bows need work) :-( Happy Crafting All! ~Chantel

Etched Glass - Alice in Wonderland

This is the first thing I've posted on this blog that is not a card! So if your here for cards, please forgive me. I like to dabble in a little of this, and a little of that (craft/art stuff). The design I found online, it's from Alice in Wonderland (in case you've been living under a rock sense 1951, and YES it was THAT long ago, when the first Alice in Wonderland movie hit the theaters, and NO I wasn't around for it.) :-) I am however an Alice in Wonderland fanatic. As you'll see in future posts. Anyways onto my glass. I had already etched every other person in my family their very own mugs and glasses, but had yet to do one for myself, until I ran out of people to make them for. I purchased the glass at my local dollar store. The design I transferred into my Silhouette program, and traced it out. I then cut it from Oramask 813 Stencil Film. I purchased mine from https://expressionsvinyl.com/ . I know I seem to bring them up a lot, sorry I'm not affiliated ...

Fathers Day Card with Etched Wood Design

This was the second card I made using my Silhouette Curio. This time instead of etching metal, I decided to try some wood. My husband was working in a carpentry shop at the time, so I thought he'd get a kick out of it. I purchased the round piece of wood from Amazon (Natural Unfinished  Plywood Circle, 4 Inch 1/8" thick.) The thickness is VERY important. If you are going to use your Curio to etch then it can't be too thick. This did work, it was messy, but it worked. After it was all etched out, it didn't really stand out, so I decided to use an alcohol based marker in a bronze color, to color it in. The design I found on a Google search. Behind it I once again used my Silhouette to cut a circle slightly bigger than the wooden circle, out of a metalized vinyl sheet in Gold Chrome, I purchased from - https://expressionsvinyl.com/ . I also used a sheet of diamond plate vinyl on the bottom and sides of the card. I had also purchased it from expressions vinyl,...

Quad Diaper Cake

The diaper cake and card were made for my niece last month for her baby shower. I have only made two other diaper cakes, but they were the regular round ones, with tiers and lots of toys. This time I wanted to try something different and ran into a few different types that I liked. The hard part was deciding which one to do. They have one that looks like a plane, one that looks like a motorcycle, one that looks like a train, even one that looks like a JEEP!!! I almost did the jeep, but then decided that my niece would probably like a quad more, and it was for her. I read directions from lots of different sites, got a somewhat good idea of how to do it, and the things I would need. I then made my list, and hit Walmart. Supplies Three Receiving Blankets (I used one for the handles, then one each on the wheel wells, to hide the empty paper towel holders) One pair of socks (Used for handle bars) Large pack of diapers (I used size 1) (I used more than the di...

Wonder Woman Card

The image of Wonder Woman is NOT my image. I found her on Google. Not sure who is the artist, whoever it is, they are amazing. :-) It was already colored in as well. This was just a quick card I put together for one of my girlfriends that I work with. She is always working her rear end off, and doing more and more. I was joking with her that she must be wonder woman, I then saw this image and just had to make a card out of it for her! Something to make her smile, when her day sucks. I printed up the image on some off white cardstock, then attached it with double sided tape to black cardstock. I used some scrap paper I had that I thought went well with it, added some black see through ribbon, a couple stars, and a couple metal embellishments. The image and black paper were attached using foam tape, to give the card some dimension. The rest was secured using double sided tape. Quick and easy card. :-)

Fathers Day Card using Silhouette Curio

This is the card I made for my Dad this year for Fathers Day. This was my first attempt at using the etch feature with my Silhouette Curio. I already owned a Silhouette Cameo, and loved it, but when I found out that the Curio can emboss and etch, I just had to have it. I ordered mine through Amazon. They have ready made kits for whatever you want to do with it, but I found it cheaper at the time, to order what I wanted piece by piece. For the metal image of the word FATHER I used Metal Etching Sheets, Embossing Mat, Fine Emboss Tool, and my Silhouette Curio. I typed FATHER into the Silhouette program and choose they Western script. They type of metal it is etched on is a thick aluminum. It was still thin enough to use scissors to cut down to size. I used different coordinating scraps of paper I had laying around for the background. The tools were an image I found on Google. I printed them up, colored them with Gel Pens, and then used a clear sealer on top of them, so they would ...

Male Birthday Card

This card was made for a young man that I've never actually met. The young mans diagnosis is not a good one. He made a request to the public in our state, to receive birthday cards, LOTS of them for his birthday next month. Being that I don't actually know the young man, I just kinda had to guess what he would like. I figured motorcycles?? Doesn't all young men like motorcycles? I found the image on Google, printed it out on white cardstock. Cut it to size, and cut a piece of black card stock a little bit larger to put behind it. I attached it with foam tape. I colored it with Metallic Gel Pens. The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from a stamp. I stamped the saying then heat embossed it with white embossing powder, onto black cardstock. I cut it out using a pair of difficult to use scissors. I have no idea what they are called? They came in a bag, with about a dozen different ones, all of which are difficult to cut with. I have had them for probably about ten years thou...

Gorjuss Just For You Card

This card I made for a friend for her birthday. The beautiful image is one of my Gorjuss stamps, this one is Gorjuss Tweed Rubber Stamp - Waiting, and you can find it here http://www.markerpop.com/catalog/gorjuss-tweed-rubber-stamp-waiting.html  . I stamped her on white cardstock, and cut it to size. I then attached it to tan cardstock, and cut it a little bigger than the white. I colored the Gorjuss image with colored pencils. I used a white gel pen to add some light to her dark hair. The paper was from my scrap pile. The flower I cut using a flower design I found on the Silhouette store, and cut it with my Silhouette cameo. I secured the flower together with glue. The rest of the card I used double sided tape.  The center of the flower is a decorative pearl and below that is a butterfly. I purchased them both from Michaels. The wide white ribbon I purchased a long time ago from Walmart. The "just for you sentiment" is from an old stamp I had, but don...

Ice Cream Birthday Card

Isn't this little girl just adorable!? I made this card last night. I still haven't added the "Happy Birthday to it yet, as I'm not sure if I want to do it on the outside, or the inside of the card. This one will just join the pile of cards I have completed, to have (just in case) I need one. So it wasn't made for a specific person. This time though I knew I was going to add it to my blog, so I made sure to document what I used. The paper is from Paper Pad - Happy Day (From Michaels), isn't it cute? I love the ice cream cones. :-) I had cut the banner strips. The circles I used Cute Oval Circle Set Cutting Dies from Amazon. I used double sided tape to secure everything together. The super cute image is from Overstock.com - Stamping Bella 'Lacie Has An Ice Cream' Unmounted Rubber Stamp. Her skin was colored with Copic's E000, E00, and E93. The ice cream, and the flowers on her glasses were colored with glitter gel pens. I use Janmit Gel pens pur...

Fathers Day Card

Another Fathers Day card I made this year. This one was for my husband. I made it on a yellow blank card. For the background I used white card stock. I found an image of the tools on Google, and used it in my Silhouette program. I slightly etched the paper, then used the Silhouette pens to draw over the etch. Looks awesome in person, photo not so much. The two papers on top of that were some that I got at Michaels. The tools design on the front I also found on Google. I printed it up, and colored it using gel pens, the silver color sparkles!!! After that I hand cut it out (razor blade....lots of fun...o.k. not really, but it came out cute!) After the tools were colored and cut, I used gloss Modge Podge and painted over the whole tools image, and let it dry. I used some foam tape to attach the tools. For the wording I again used my Silhouette (LOVE MY SILHOUETTE!!!) I used red vinyl. I wasn't so sure about this card, but my husband ended up loving it.

Ariela Mermaid Card

This card I created using a beautiful image from Conie Fong, called Ariela Mermaid. You can purchase the image here https://www.etsy.com/listing/477134937/sale-digital-stamp-digi-stamp-digistamp?ref=related-4 and it's on sale for only $2.50!!! If you've never seen Coni Fong's art, you are in for a delight. She is absolutely amazing!!! I printed the image onto water color paper, then used water color pencils to color her in. I didn't go over the whole image with water, because for me, it gets too blurry, so only in the areas that I really wanted to darken up, and I used the water and brush sparingly. To cut her out, and the back ground boarder I used the Hunulu 8 pcs Metal Ellipse Cutting Dies Stencils that I purchased from Amazon. I really do like the way these dies cut, and they are priced low, which helps...a lot. My background paper...I wish I could tell you what background paper I used, but I honestly can't remember. It was a pack that I'd purchased fro...

Yorkie Birthday Card

This card I created for my mothers birthday. She has been a yorkie owner my whole life. This card was actually a lot of fun to make, and she absolutely loved it. The image is a stamp called Yorkshire Terrier Dog Rubber Stamp, Yorkie with Grocery Shopping Card, Sold by: Rubberhedgehog Rubber Stamps, you can find it on Amazon. The image was colored with a mix of colored pencils and gel pens. The image was stamped on a very light color designed paper, and both the image, and the background frame were cut with a die. The decorative papers in the background came from Michaels. The flowers were another die I used, however I used a thicker card stock, and honestly wasn't really that happy with them. I used some decorative pearls in the flowers and on the piece of ribbon. For the Happy Birthday saying I used my Silhouette and Silhouette pens, then cut it out by hand. I've only been playing with stamping and card making for a couple months. I thoroughly enjoy it, and enjoy giving my ...

Fathers Day 2017 train card

Created this Fathers Day card using an image I found on a google search. My step father loves trains, so I looked for an image that had a train drawing in black and white. I used my silhouette cameo to draw the train out, and colored it using colored pencils and gel pens. I used double sided foam tape to secure it to the card. I then cut a circle of bronze colored vinyl to frame the train. I also used my silhouette to cut the vinyl. If you look above the card, you can see the bottom of the envelope, on this I also used my silhouette, and silhouette pens. The image I found another simple train and track image on a google search. The Happy Fathers Day I stamped and then embossed.
